About Mike
Mike grew up in a military family, his dad being the serving member in the Air Force, and his mom working as a company secretary and holding down the fort at home. Mike began his working life at 15, and has maintained numerous jobs since 2011. Most notably, he has had union membership previously with the AFA-CWA.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management in 2018 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he learned about the aviation sector of the transportation industry and the many laws and regulations that were created within it.
He has navigated the complexities of economic downturns, grappled with the uncertainties of change, and emerged not only resilient, but also enlightened. Every challenge has sculpted his character, teaching him the value of determination and the importance of community support.
These experiences have shaped his perspectives and solidified his commitment to serve others, particularly those facing hardship, and those who worry about making ends meet. Mike understands that hardship does not define a person; rather, it can highlight one’s strength and purpose. He remains dedicated to crafting policies that uplift individuals and families, ensuring a brighter future for all.
Now, Mike is looking to take the lessons and knowledge from his previous challenges, and take the fight to Congress to make a change from ineffectual actions, to revitalization.
