About Mike

Mike grew up in a military family, his dad being the serving member in the Air Force, and his mom working as a company secretary and holding down the fort at home. Mike began his working life at 15, and has maintained numerous jobs since 2011. Most notably, he has had union membership previously with the AFA-CWA.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management in 2018 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where he learned about the aviation sector of the transportation industry and the many laws and regulations that were created within it.

Now, Mike is looking to take the lessons and knowledge from his previous challenges, and take the fight to Congress to make a change from ineffectual actions, to revitalization.

On the Issues

    Immigration

    Humanize the immigration process by keeping families together, ensuring adequate staffing of courts to process claims and reduce the 3.9 million case load.

    Renewable Energy

    Support the increase of renewable energy alternatives such as wind, solar, hydro, etc.

    Texas produces the most amount of oil in the country. It also leads the country in wind energy generation. Mike intends to continue boosting the amount of renewable energy sources produced in Texas, and supporting legislation for projects around the United States.

    Healthcare Coverage

    Protecting Medicaid and Medicare programs, and expanding them to include all US citizens in a single-payer healthcare system.

    Women's Rights

    A woman has the right to choose, and should not be left susceptible to potentially fatal situations carrying a nonviable pregnancy.

    LGBTQIA+ Rights

    All Americans, including those in the LGBTQIA+ community, should be afforded the same rights and privileges of employment, housing, and marriage/partnership.

    Foreign Policy and Defense

    Prevent needless wars. Michael wants to work towards proving ourselves as the leader of the free world through diplomacy, and only considering military operations when it becomes absolutely necessary.

    Veterans' Affairs

    Mike grew up in a military family, and is the son, brother, nephew, and grandson of veterans. For those that signed a blank check up to, and including their life, Mike will ensure that veterans are protected in their healthcare and recovery from their time in the military.

    Ensure Constitutional Rights

    This country over its 250+ years has turned its lessons into rights that protect all people on US soil. As the founding document to our government, it’s imperative we have someone like Mike in office to make certain that everything stays balanced within the government, and towards the citizens.
